1. Arrive Oslo at 1.15pm local time
2. Take NSB train from airport to Oslo Sentral station: NOK108 per person (Tickets are bought from a machine using credit card)
3. Oslo Sentral to Hortet by tram guna tiket NSB. So tak perlu beli tiket baru since NSB ticket valid for 2.5 hours.
4. Check-in at Airbnb in Hortet: RM349.00 per night
5. Rest.
1. Check out from Airbnb. Took NSB train to Oslo S. Agak kelam kabut masa beli tiket kat machine sebab transaction guna CC tak berjaya. Unfortunately, machine cuma terima syiling NOK sahaja, note kertas tak terima. Akhirnya berjaya beli tiket guna PayPal lepas try & error guna CC semua orang: NOK54 per person
2. Rent car from Hertz at Oslo Sentral Station. Book small VW, got SUV Kia Niro. Add the second driver with a charge. Things to check – petrol or diesel. Kat kunci kereta dah tulis siap2 petrol atau diesel.
3. Drive to Langfossen for 7 hours lepas beberapa kali stop untuk lunch, snap a photo here & there. Nampak view cantik stop ambik gambar, nampak lupins tepi jalan berhenti lagi.
4. Dari Langfossen ke Latefossen, drive for almost 1 hour.
5. Shopping groceries at Xtra Supermarket: NOK71
6. Toll fees: NOK293
7. Off to Aurland and drive for 3 hours. Checking in at Skahjerm Gard, Aurland, Flam : (NOK2340 for 2 nights)
1. Flamsbana Scenic Train at 7.30 am: 440NOK .
Tips – amik train paling awal pagi2 sebab murah & tak bertembung dengan tourist yg amik pakej Norway in a Nutshell (NIN). Ambik train pagi kosong gila. Ambik seat yang belah kanan sebab view lawa. Kami conquer satu gerabak sebab memang train kosong, so boleh tukar2 seat ikut suka hati everytime nampak view lawa. Train akan stop di Kjosfossen Waterfall for 10 minutes & Myrdal St. for 20 minutes (+-) untuk tunggu train dari Bergen @ Oslo bagi mana2 yang ambik self-guide tour NIN. Nasib kami baik sebab masa train stop di Kjosfossen Waterfall on the way back to Flam, shortly after arrival, music started playing and a woman in red started dancing next to a stone building to the right of the waterfall. The woman in red is dressed as a legendary Huldra (seductive forest creature in Scandinavian folklore). She dances to lure men into the woods to seduce them. Goosebump jugak ler bila tengok orang meliuk lentok kat tengah2 hutan tu kan. Flamsbana train ni took about 2 hours return. Bila sampai kat Flam St, tourist dah mula ramai queue untuk naik next train. So memang advisable untuk ambik trip paling awal plus harga pun lagi murah.
2. Flamsbana Museet (museum), The Flam Railway Documentation Centre: free je masuk.
3. Stegastein ViewPoint: View lawa. Tapi drive ke atas hati2. Kena stop kalau selisih dgn kenderaan lain. On the way turun boleh stop kat view point untuk ambik gambar.
4. Aurland: View lawa tengok rumah tepi fjord
5. Shopping groceries at Spar: NOK65
6. Overnight at Skahjerm Gard, Aurland.
1. Check out from Skahjerm Gard, Aurland.
2. Nærøyfjord Cruise: NOK505
Naik cruise from Flam to Gudvangen, through Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord. The two fjords are situated 120 kilometres (75 mi) from each other and they are separated by the Jostedalsbreen glacier. The Nærøyfjord areas in this site stretch through the municipalities of Aurland, Lærdal, Vik, and Voss.
(Same goes to cruise kat Milford Sound NZ)
4. Ada cafe dalam cruise ni, even dah bawak ration jajan tapi bau hot choc sangatlah menggoda selera. Spent NOK170 for 2 hot chocs, 2 muffins & 1 donut. (Bertabahlah)
6. Drive ke Gudvangen – the port, Viking village (kami tak masuk).
7. Drive ke Voss. Overnight here at Vossesstrand Hotel & Apartment: NOK1090 per night.
8. Lepas check-in, drive to pekan Voss then GPS bawak lalu jalan2 kampung. View dia Subhanallah cantik sangat. Visit Finnesloftet (Norway’s oldest wooden non-ecclesiastical building), Tvinnefossen.
9. Buy groceries at Xtra Hedelberget: NOK150
10. Fuel: NOK230
Nota:
Save 1 malam.
– Naik cruise tu 2 jam, so kalau bawak bekal ration or snack pun ok.
1. Check out from Vossesstrand Hotel & Apartment
2. Ke Bergen city, parking kat city 1 jam : NOK21 (total kena bayar NOK230)
3. Amik Fløibanen funicular to Mount Fløyen. Tiket NOK120.
Best gila tempat ni mmg must visit! Dan kami berkayak for free (Summertime only). Tiket beli online siap2 since queue funicular tu panjang time summer.
4. Berghaus Fortress – the oldest fortress in Norway, since 1209.
5. Bryggen Harbour – the oldest wharf, survived many fires, 62 buildings still remain, the architecture follows the ancient northern Europe structure and pattern.
6. Narrow Street
7. Fish Market ( Fisketorget )
8. Buy lunch NOK141
9. Toll fees: NOK72
10. Check-in at Midttun Motell & Camping: NOK790
1. A 500+km route, from Bergen to Trollstigen. Took about 10 hours drive. Kami patah balik ke Flam since nak skip route yang ada ferry to save cost. (hahaha)
2. We aim for the Trollstigen Mountain Road – the most visited tourist spot with 11 twisted hairpins. But, the fog was too thick, the road was wet, a local advised us not to go, let the fog clear he said. So takde rezeki nak lalu situ. Enjoyed the sceneries along the way tho. Norwegian Scenic Route Valdresflye.
3. Toll fees: NOK47
4. Check-in at Trollstigen Camping, Gjestegård: NOK 917 per night.
5. Ni pekan kecik so make sure isi minyak siap2 & groceries if needed. Kami singgah kat Voss & bought groceries at Xtra supermarket: NOK 169
1. Check-out from Trollstigen Camping.
2. Pagi ni kami nk try lagi hairpins tu, malangnya kabus sangat tebal dan hujan dah start lebat. So decided to pass.
3. To Steinkjer via the magnificent Atlantic Ocean Road. Memang lawa.
4. Low tide so takde ombak2 sampai ke jalan.
5. Ferry fees : NOK109 (Vehicles + driver) + NOK41 X 2 passengers (total NOK191)
6. Toll fees: NOK69
7. Check-in at Holmset Camping & Fishing: NOK650 per night.
The staff was very welcoming, mentioned that we are the first Malaysian there. Even suggest us to go see some animals (like deer) yg akan muncul at certain time and spot in that area.
8. Shopping groceries at Xtra Supermarket: NOK82
9. Fuel: NOK574.73
1. Check out from Holmset Camping & Fishing
2. Continue the journey up north via Norwegian Scenic Route Storforshei
3. Melepasi the Arctic Circle line! That’s how north we were. Rupanya Norway ada Arctic Circle spot yg boleh visit and jalan2, facing the beautiful glacier.
4. Toll fees: NOK93
5. Arrive Bodo, check-in Camp Salstraumen-Elvegard: NOK850 per night and tonight we overnight in a caravan.
6. Things about caravan hotel are the water is very limited, about 25L je, so kami cuci muka & do toilet things kat the shared bathroom. Masak & ambik wudhu’ je guna air caravan.
7. The sunset at 12.53am & 7 minutes later dah sunrise dah. Tapi that day was cloudy so we didn’t get the bright sun.
8. Fuel: NOK170.60
1. Check out from Camp Salstraumen-Elvegard.
2. It was a rainy day, so plan nak ke Salstraumen Maelstrom tak jadi. We went to Islamsk Kultursenter Northland at Bodo, tapi tutup. Since hujan masih turun, kami just pusing2 city sambil tengok dari dalam kereta je.
3. Journey back to Oslo via Sweden. Driving between Scandinavian country is allowed and no checking at the border at all. The custom border closed during the weekend.
4. Kat Sweden minyak & barang2 lagi murah. In return, facilities takde la tip top macam Norway. Tapi everything still ok sebab ada toilet free.
5. It was a long journey back, almost 9 hours & kami tak singgah mana2 kecuali toilet je.
6. Kat Sweden, common supermarket sama nama dengan Norway kecuali – ICA supermarket. Dan chocolate Freia rebranded as Marabou kat sini.
7. Overnight at Camp Route 45, Hammerdal, the camping site: SEK750 per night.
8. Toll fees: NOK73
9. Fuel : NOK246.01, SEK540.59
10. Shopping groceries at ICA supermarket: SEK68.74
1. Check out from Camp Route 45, Hammerdal.
2. Continue the journey back to Oslo from Hammerdal.
3. Shopping groceries at ICA supermarket: SEK40.80
4. Fuel: SEK214.62, NOK347.42
5. Toll fees: NOK168
6. Arrive Oslo around 7 pm, hantar kereta and check-in at Forenom Service apartment: NOK2390.40 for 2 nights.
7. Apartment ni memang lokasi strategik, walking distance from Oslo Sentral and tourist spot. Self-check-in through key padlock using the password given thru email.
1. Time ni masing2 dah agak barai, Oslo city on foot pulak tu, so kami tak cover semua.
2. Karl John gates – Oslo Cathedral – Opera House – Akershus Fortress – Aker Brygge – Royal Palace – Parliament of Norway.
3. Things that we missed – open-air Folk museum. We dropped that but you might want to include this sebab dengar cerita best museum ni.
4. Lunch: NOK160
5. Shopping groceries at Xtra Supermarket: NOK47
6. Konon2 nak balik berehat sekejap kat apartment, then keluar balik untuk ke Central Jam-e-Mosque World Islamic Mission Norway, tapi masing2 dah lemau, tidur sampai tak sedar diri dah. Makanya masjid Oslo pun kami missed.
1. Oslo Sentral to the airport by Flytoget train as early 5 am sebab NSB train tak available at that time: NOK196 per person.
2. Oslo-Doha-Changi by Qatar Airways
3. Late lunch at Doha: QAR54
1. Breakfast at Changi: SGD30
2. Taxi Changi to Golden Mile Tower: SGD18
3. Changi to KL – ambik bus kat Golden Mile Tower: RM70.00
Note :
2. Pada awalnya trip ni adalah untuk 4 orang, tapi salah sorang trave mate terpaksa tarik diri for the very last minute atas sebab2 yang tak dapat dielakkan. So, total expenses kena bahagi by 3 sahaja.
Another NOK500 untuk personal expenses.
5. Di Sweden, kami beli groceries guna credit card since memang tak tukar duit SEK pun.
6. Fuel, hotel, floibanen & tiket tram/train airport, paid by credit card.
7. Flamsbana train & fjord cruise dah beli siap2 dari Malaysia lagi.
8. Weather kat Norway so unpredictable, every half an hour and every 15km cuacanya berubah2.
9. Semua tempat yang kami pergi sejuk gedi walaupun summer, kecuali kat Oslo je boleh pakai t shirt without jacket & heat tech.
10. Even dah ada itinerary, we still check our route by daily basis. Turns out masa summer banyak jalan yang dah buka, so we can skip route yang kena naik ferry (boleh save agak banyak di situ). Kami finalized itinerari ni around April, so google consider bagi jalan yang available at that time and almost route kena naik ferry.
11. Kami bawak siap2 beras, kicap, maggi, nasi kembara, sambal ikan bilis, daging dendeng, 3 in 1 drinks, bihun etc dari Malaysia. Kat Norway cuma stock up fresh groceries macam telur, sayur, buah, jus, susu & sardin. Kami memang masak kat Norway, makan kat luar cuma untuk lunch yang susah nak bawak bekal like masa jalan2 kat Bergen & Oslo.
12. Time check-in flight kat Oslo the staff insist to see the bus ticket out of Singapore before the check-in process. Kami tak beli siap2 sebab tak tau exact time sampai Changi. Plus hari tu pergi Iceland via Changi jugak, takde pun nak tengok tiket bus. Turns out it depend on the counter staff whether they want to see the ticket or not sebab lepas dah berjaya beli tiket bas, staff kat another counter tak mintak pun tiket bas tu. Poyo je makcik kaunter dengan supervisor kitaorang hari tu.
13. Fuel cost for 4001km journey lebih kurang RM1,500.00. Average harga petrol kat Norway around RM8 seliter.
